Unexpected Mischief is the expanded fantasy writing project of The Caillic. Due to not being able to stick to one set of characters she has split up her ideas into unique stories that all take place in the same universe, so that she doesn't have to make a new universe for every set of characters or story she wants to write.
Within the stories there are two worlds, the Light-World and the Dark-World. The Dark-World is kinda like a minor version of the Light-World. It’s extremely different from the Light-World with its inhabitants being much more cryptid looking and its terrain being much weirder.
Throughout both worlds there are creatures known as Nightmares that feed on people's fears and anxieties. The ones who defend and fight against the Nightmares are known as Nightmare Hunters (I think I can come up with a better name, but I’m going with Nightmare Hunters for now).
There are four different groups of Nightmare Hunters. Nora Gardens Hunters, who look after the West and the South of the Light-World. The Midra Springs Hunters, who protect the East and North parts of the Light-World. The Mia Mountain Hunters who protect all of the Dark-World, and the Eva Lake Nightmare Hunters, who use to protect the West and the North of the Dark-World, but were mostly wiped out.
